1. Chain tension. People frequently attempt to tighten the chain by forcing the bar tight to the chain and then fixing it in place by tightening down the retaining nut. That'll only work temporarily, soon you'll be back to having a loose chain! In order to properly tension the chain, you need to (1) loosen the retaining nut until the bar is ever so slightly loose, (2) turn the adjusting screw clockwise to tighten the chain or counterclockwise to loosen the chain, (3) re-tighten the retaining nut. Doing this the right way, I can go through several cutting sessions before needing to manually adjust the chain tension again.
2. Batteries. Makita 18V batteries will work on Seesii chainsaws. I use my DeWalt 20V batteries by adding a DeWalt-to-Makita battery adapter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQR8R2JC). Works like a charm.
3. Oil. The mini-chainsaw is a low demand lubrication use and almost any oil will do for oiling the chain (cooking oil, used engine oil, transmission oil, WD40). My recommendation is to use the cheapest bar & chain oil that you can find at your local hardware store. Again, because this is a low demand lubrication use, you can lubricate the chain sparingly - you can run the saw until the chain is almost dry. (Typically, I can get by with lubricating the saw at the start and then again upon finishing the job.)
4. Periodically (at least once every other session), open up the chain cover and clean the sprocket area. Cuttings tend to accumulate in the back pocket, especially if you happen to be cutting a lot of green wood.
5. Replacement chains. I own the 6" Seesii mini-chainsaw, Model CH500 (same as the deal posted here). It uses the following chain: 6" chain, .043" Gauge, 1/4" LP Pitch, 36 Drive Links. Be careful to check the number of drive links on your order, many of the replacement chains are spec'd out with 37 drive links. That won't fit this Seesii model. If you own a different model, you'll need to check to see what chain fits your chainsaw.
Reminder: Always remove the battery before replacing or adjusting your chain.
