no it's not a good deal, for $40 I rather get the moto g stylus and use it as a tablet, it's 20 times faster, come with stylus and beautiful OLED screen, also 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. This tablet it's already obsolet don't buy this crap

If you only plan to use it for Youtube or a music player, it should be fine. However, this Fire HD (2021) came with very old Android. I think it is Android 9 or lower as I am too lazy to turn on the tablet to find out. I have a few of Fire HD 8, Fire HD 10, Fire Max. But I have not even turned them on because they are very slow.
If I trade-in back to Amazon, I get $5 for sending in the old tablet. I don't even bother for now.
You can use Fire Toolbox from the web, and then you can install Google Play. You get Android apps. Again, because the Android version is low, there are a lot of apps won't support it.

So, I just looked this up, it's a phone right? It's a 6.7" display. And I can only find them for more than 2x, approaching 3x price. Really confused why you are recommending it vs the Fire tablet
32gb won't leave much room for apps or updates, skip this garbage
You don't really need that much space for apps if you just want to watch videos or read comics or browse the web. These aren't really ideal for playing games, so it's not like you're keeping huge amounts of graphical stuff on it, and these can take SD cards. I've been using one for about two years and have never remotely felt like I'm running out of space.

Where do you get a Moto G Stylus with an OLED screen for $40? Genuinely curious.
Not SD. Can be had for $35.
It serves its purpose. Cheap. Not too concerned about it. Use in bathtub with waterproof pouch. I feel like a rich man. Not happening with my pricey tablet.

Also this came out recently which lets you fully disable updates, lockscreen ads (permanently), and change launcher while disabling the stock one: https://xdaforums.com/t/system-us...s.4759215/

Thanks for the info. I have not even turned on the devices. If I turn them on, I would spend the next 24 hours to fine tune them.
