Just my 2 cents, the m18 hackzall is one of my least favorite tools ever. It was one of the first milwaukee tools I got and in any scenario where I need a 1 handed recip saw this is too big and heavy for more than a couple quick cuts. The m12 is superior in pretty much every use for me. I mostly use it in tight spots like under a car or inside a cabinet. If I have more room I would likely use a full size sawzall
