I have both versions and there is no gel filling in the storage bag or cooler inserts. The bag feels like a hard but flexible rubber and the insert is soft and waterproof so helps contain stuff cool and water from spilling into bag itself.

I bought the 20L bag, 2 20L liners for the 20L bag and another cooler. Its worth it for the quality and "flex" vs clearance price but it is tiny. For $35 20L, you can get larger cooler sizes that may not be as cool looking, but can put more stuff in - i.e. what you get at costco / walmart.

I have some older bags (bought from Sierra) that are about 30 L that we use to carry our dry food for a family of 5. These have worked well for car camping for this purpose. I would love some new bags that are more water resistant but 20 L just seems too small to be practical.

Storage bag has a 3.9 review. Wanted to check out why and there are multiple complaints about it being compressed for shipping and arriving looking crumpled which doesn't go away due to the harder siding

I have the Dometic Go water container and love it.
I Just picked 2 x 20L, 1 x 20L liner, 2 x 10L and 1 x 10L liner. The deal is good enough, hopefully it ships quick.
