Magnesium glycinate, magnesium L-threonate, and magnesium citrate differ mainly in their absorption, effects, and best use cases:

Magnesium Glycinate:

Highly bioavailable and gentle on the digestive system with minimal laxative effect.
Best for general magnesium supplementation, improving magnesium levels, muscle relaxation, and sleep support.
Often preferred for people who want to avoid digestive upset or diarrhea.

Magnesium L-Threonate:

Unique because it can cross the blood-brain barrier, making it especially beneficial for brain health.
May improve cognitive function, memory, focus, and sleep quality.
Acts more as a nootropic (brain-boosting supplement) rather than just a magnesium supplement.
Recommended for people seeking cognitive enhancement or support for conditions like anxiety and age-related memory decline.

Magnesium Citrate:

Also well absorbed but with a mild laxative effect due to the citric acid component.
Often used for relieving constipation and digestive support.
Suitable if magnesium supplementation with bowel regulation is desired but can cause loose stools in sensitive individuals.

In summary:

For overall magnesium supplementation with few side effects, magnesium glycinate is often considered the best.
For cognitive and brain health benefits, magnesium L-threonate stands out.
For constipation relief and magnesium supplementation, magnesium citrate is effective.

Magnesium citrate is better absorbable than glycinate

Yes it is a different product. Mag citrate is usually for digestive issues and glycinate helps with sleep and muscle relation.
I forgot to add that this product is a fairly low dose of magnesium glycinate - 160 MG.

No, they are correct. Glycinate absorbs slower though if someone is sensitive to the GI affects.

Also the "chelated" glycinate is supposed to have even higher absorption
