Big news...today it was announced that the 100AH server rack batteries have successfully achieved both UL 1973 and UL 9540A listing, and current stock at the warehouse has the appropriate stickers affixed from factory, so orders from Eco Worthy website and Amazon will have stickers asap, with eBay sales by Sept. 22. They are aware of CEC listing and should apply there too shortly.

Wow, 28.8KWh for under $5K. Wild. For reference, that's more capacity than two Tesla Powerwall 3 units and those cost around $10K EACH!

The pictures all show 51.2v but the information all notes 48v. Anyone know what the deal is?

Cells are 3.2v nominal but quoted in packs as 3v. These are 16s packs so 51.2v nominal charge but typically quoted at 48v.

Are these UL listed and allowed in permitted installations? The eg4 power pros are 30%+ more expensive but I think far more compact than 6 of these things?

This is currently the best deal going by kind of a long shot. But if you think batteries are cheap now, wait about six months. Battery production is WAY beyond demand right now, and solid state batts will make older tech obsolete, then you have Na+ batts already hitting the market. Prices are gonna be insane.

Just guessing, but ...
Power stuffs (e.g. possibly a whole house for a day ore more with this kind of capacity) when intermittent energy sources (e.g. solar panels) do not provide power/energy, OR if you have a big differential in electricity costs at different times of the day, store energy at low cost hours to use during high cost hours, OR have it as a backup during power outages ...

I'm not an expert on Sodium batteries. They may come up winning in the long term, but the linear discharge curve (along with voltage sag) will likely be a challenge that loads/devices and inverters will need to adapt to accommodate. LifePO4 is a winner in the short to medium term IMO.

depending where you are located, in Houston we get a choice of free nights so you can charge these during the night and use them during the day and just pay CenterPoint's delivery cost. you can also use this with a sub panel and have backup power during an outage, say a hurricane, and have AC and fridge running until the infrastructure gets back up. or get solar to charge this with an inverter and be completely off the grid removing a bill from your life. paying for power ahead and you'll make it up after a couple of years.

Most people connect them to a solar inverter and battery management system to use for off-grid or grid backup DIY solar systems. I don't believe these are UL-listed, so they wouldn't qualify for grid feed systems, as most utility companies wouldn't allow it. These aren't quite as good a quality as some other DIY brands, but this is an outstanding deal. Usually, each 48V rack battery will cost $1,000+ without the rack, etc.

30.7 kWh total <--- this relevant piece of info doesn't seem to be in the SD description.

What's the minimum charge for an electrician to install this, an inverter, subpanel, and grid disconnect switch?

.
Also, this seems like a better deal with 2 12kW inverters for $5600:
