I remember a discussion on a similar recent thread that seemed inconclusive. Unlike don't other categories, the options here from different obscure brands do not all look basically identical, making it harder to just go off other people's experiences. I think I'll give it a shot - doubt the image is great, and I wondered if I need one of the 2 camera versions, but seems like a good price in any case.

I have one that looks super similar. Quality is decent. I tried using it down the washer drain pipe, but once the camera enters water, I could not tell what direction or what I was looking at. The only thing I've found it useful was... maybe poking the cam behind a wall. It's been collecting dusk in my drawer, but it's something I aspire to use one day.

I don't know but 15 bucks seems like a decent deal. I got one for x-mas that plugs into my iPhone and it helped me fish some cat 6 wire through the wall. I messed it up pretty good taping wire to the end to pull cable but it still works.

Looks like you get a display with this one for $15 so that doesn't seem bad because you can leave your phone behind.

Having a screen makes me want to give it a shot - in for one to see how the quality might be.

I actually own this unit, bought from ebay live to qualify for the $100 off coupon code.
Screen quality is somewhere between 720 and 1080p. The camera cable has a bit of stiffness which helps when guiding it, but like most other borescopes cameras it overall sucks big time. Unless the item is right up next to the camera you will see nothing. This is actually my second borescope (first connected to phone) and the quality is better than the version that connect to phone but nowhere, absolutely nowhere near the quality of images shown.
TLDR: pass, not worth it

I have a different one but they're all quite similar (same accessories, cable, lights around the camera, controls, etc).

In some ways they are invaluable, helping you see where you otherwise couldn't, but even then they are a nightmare to use. You don't have control over where the camera is going, which way up it is, the visibility is usually terrible where you can only see just in front of the camera clearly and even then things like dust, insulation, etc will dirty the lens. I have taped the camera head to coat hangers and metal rods to try and get it to go where I need it on occasion and it's brutally frustrating.

I still recommend having one, it's better than nothing. But I can basically guarantee you will hate having to use it.
