Unless you get a great deal on some name brand, these things are the budget king
I have no had ANY of the issues people talk about so far, wireless works fine, doesnt drop, I took the case apart on the 17in, everything was secure and routed well, no bad speakers or anything else, I know I sound like a shill at this point but just saying, I find them to be a good deal, perhaps even a slick deal.
I briefly checked out the Windows 11 install and it looked pretty clean, but I installed Debian Linux on mine right away and that mostly works fine. The fingerprint reader is a FocalTech MOH that won't work without a closed source fprintd library but otherwise everything seemed to have drivers. The WiFi is a Realtek RTL8821CE which is kind of so-so and seems to have some driver instability in mainline Linux, but there's a DKMS one that seems somewhat better. The WiFi is also a soldered down module so difficult to upgrade that unfortunately. As described RAM and HD are not soldered, and RAM was all in one SODIMM with a second free slot, so that's good for upgrading.
