I bought this same adapter on Woot last month for around $15. It works very well. I had difficulty setting it up at first with a 2018 Nissan Rogue, but since then it has worked perfectly and I am very happy with it. Not a single problem in three weeks of daily use. I had tried another no brand CarPlay adapter a few years back that was closer to $40 and it also worked but was quite temperamental so I never used it. At $15 this seemed worth the risk, and at $10 even better.

I can also confirm I had the same experience with my 2018 Accord. Setting it up isn't that smooth, but once set up, it has been working well (1st week now since I got it, probably from the same Woot deal lol).

What was the issue with setting it up? Was it not finding/connecting?
I just got mine delivered and I tried it out. Setup was fine and everything worked. Only weird thing and I haven't figured it out yet is that my current adapter seems to sleep after a while. I had always assumed it was my car shutting off power, but this one kept connecting as I walked thorough the house in the vicinity of the garage, hours after I had parked my car.

Yeah, it took me a few tries to successfully connect the bluetooth dongle to my phone. Once it's connected and initialized, CarPlay pops up and there's no problem connecting to it again afterwards.

"Luckymore Wireless Carplay Adapter, Converts Wired to Wireless Carplay Dongle for Plug & Play Carplay Fit for Cars from 2017 & for Apple iPhone iOS 10+" results in a listing that's $15, for those who missed out on $10. I'm going to give this a try as the goal I have is that this works in my vehicle and I can charge my iPhone 17 Pro via USB-C vs a much slower USB-A that I've been using for now 8 years
