Maybe a dumb question, but when it says "10 year lifespan" is that based on an average number of charge cycles over 10 years or do the batteries themselves malfunction after 10 years even if used seldomly? I could only see myself using one of these a handful of times a year. Could it last much longer than 10 yrs with that kind of usage?

these things suck. I had one and died within a year. within 6 months it wouldn't hold a full charge. not worth it.

I have the neo2000 when it was on sale for $600 a year ago.

Con: fast parasitic drain. Turn on hibernation mode to prevent parasitic drain (I have not tried this on other models). See manual link below for the neo2000 model.

Con#2: very bulky; much larger in size than other 2kwh power station.

Pro: rock solid performance during the January fire.
