I'll never buy another large item from Aliexpress again. Currently dealing with a defective 3D printer that Aliexpress is trying to tell me I need to pay my own return shipping for. The shipping costs $100, which is over half the cost of the printer. PayPal is trying to tell me it's Aliexpress's policy and standard practice for the buyer to pay return shipping. Now having to file a chargeback through my credit card.

Got the Ladped lp60 last month. I've ran through the battery 4 or 5 times so far since I got it last month. I just blast around the neighborhood or cul-de-sac for fun. Put some sweet underglow on mine, also from AliExpress. The kids in the neighborhood are jealous. Its a Xaomi 365 clone. If you don't mind it slowing down to 11 mph up slight hills and 9 mph up steeper hills, get it.

I think this would be cool to keep in my car And when I want to Go somewhere downtown I can park further away where the parking is free and use this to get to my destination, but what would I do with it once I do get to my destination? Lock it to a bike rack or something?

Seems like they could put a loop/hole on it somewhere so you can run a lock through it.

Maybe a huge padlock to go around the neck between the base and the steering arm?
wouldn't save it from theft. carrying a big lock just adds weight.

Looking to get an electric scooter for the first time and don't know much about them. Was considering this LP60 based on the price, but reading comments here, a lot of people have recommended the LP80 (which seems to be about $25-$30 more) for the higher battery capacity.

Was about to buy the LP80, but then started researching into wheel types, suspension, etc... So what I understand is that the LP60/LP80 have no suspension and use solid tires so the rides can get pretty bumpy. I think I want to go with solid tires from a maintenance aspect, but would then want suspension to mitigate the solid tire disadvantage. Are bigger 10" wheels also worth it?

So are there better options that costs slightly more that I should consider? Looking to budget something around $200-$250, but less is always welcome. Should I be looking at the Ladped LPMAX (https://www.ladped.com/product/la...scooter/)? The page for this model though says it has "10" air tyre" so do they mean pneumatic tires? But elsewhere, I'm reading that this model comes with solid tires so confused on this point. Thanks for any suggestions.
I got the LP60 recently at this price, after never riding any scooter before, or doing any research. Yes the ride is very rough! Feels very dangerous. I rode it once and decided to sell it. Rode it again the next day while waiting for the guy to pick it up. Got used to it pretty quickly then. Made like $30 profit then was like what the hell and ordered another for riding around the neighborhood streets only. Still think the ride is rough and hurts my feet. Would recommend bigger softer tires if you're actually gonna take it anywhere.

Can you do anything to. Are it go faster? Not sure if there is a wire that can be cut or easily modified.

forget large, I won't order anything small too. Ordered 3 expensive espresso machine accessories. Received some unrelated junk like sunglass, pliers, etc. Aliexpress completely refused to return even after sending pictures. Had to go through my bank to get a refund. Avoid at all costs.

The cheap scooters are all going to have virtually no suspension, so be ready for a bumpy ride. Definitely not something you want to ride off road, and even the seams on sidewalks can be felt and annoying. Bigger and inflatable tires both help, but you're still going to feel bumps unless your riding surface is perfectly flat.Solid tires are convenient, but are going to give you a terrible ride if you have no other suspension.

This scooter is best for well maintained roads, or your hands and feet will feel like you've been working a jackhammer by the time you get to your destination.

As long as you know the limitations of these scooters, and know what you're buying, these are a good price for a fun entry level scooter. Just remember your safety gear because you can get some serious road rash even just going 15 mph.

Just to echo and inform people. Aliexpress AND Paypal are not your friends. I ordered a motherboard from Aliexpress, seller indicates it ships from China. The next day I get a shipment notification from Aliexpress with a tracking number showing an item received by the foreign tracking company (which you can't call) in Illionois, for 38 lbs (motherboard is like 3-5 lbs). Item is delivered next day in Chicago.
Alliexpress tells me to go after the tracking company, that you can't call and to call the police, basically a waste of time. (1 week)

Paypal tells me that since it was shipped and tracked and arrived (I live in Calfornia) in Chicago, it's a valid charge. Even when I showed the order and my shipping address. (2 weeks)

Citibank reversed the charge (4 weeks)

Best part was, I complained to the state attorney general and BBB, and an "executive resolution" team member from Paypal contacted me and still stated that I was the person in the wrong, but as a goodwill gesture , they would credit me the money, I told him he need to learn how to read and use logic... Receipt with address, wrong weight, wrong shipping location, banned seller etc. THEN, when I got aliexpress's email to confirm shipment, I complained to them and stated that the seller is banned and they scammed other people, and they issued me a store credit for the ammount.

End of the story was roughly 2 months, and I got about 120 dollars in store credits and no motherboard.

Got it for my kids. They love it and it's perfect for them to just zip over to their friends or the coffee shops. Not too powerful not too sluggish. Great for paved roads.
I've already had two parents contact me asking where I got it once they heard the price. I think all of us parents might start a scooter gang or something. I'll let you know if you want to join.
So THIS is the origin of the Seany Scoots Posse!😅

It supposedly can be locked by the vicont app (an there is a picture of a lock on the recommend Tuya app. The Tuya app only connected the first time I used it an not the next. So I wouldn't lock it unless you want it bricked.

I learned scootering on a 8 inch hard tire trick scooter. You are gonna 🏥💀☠️👻⛪ if you don't watch for large cracks an raised sidewalk. You should pull back or pop the front end slightly on large rocks /terrain unevenness. Watch the ground in front of you; be aware of your surroundings as you would on a motorcycle. Motorcycle people say good motorcycle gloves are the answer; not new grips if you get tired of your hands, arms, an shoulders getting sore. The feet thing is less a problem but I'm not sure how to fix that. When wearing my bouncey (flimsy not skateboard shoes or motorcycle boots) gym shoes I get little feet numbness compared to when I'm wearing combat boots. I bet a good quality pair of 'overkill' inserts help here too I just havent worn my construction boots on them to find out yet. ***+++*** I am running mine thru gambits of testing so I'm accumulating a small book sized review I can eventually dump on here. But to sum it up, I do everything up to jumps on mine an it goes off road but looses power. Dropping to 8-12mph there is much less shock an vibration than at 13-19. But you need to keep it over 10 to cut thru thick gravel without it taking control. Once it loose half the battery it ain't doing that. - - - ----- I've got some long notes I've been posting on stratva and I'm not done testing due to legit battery testing requiring many discharges an recharges. I'll dump a whole novel in these threads eventually - - one protip I can add is ADJUST THAT BRAKE! Its not tight to start. Super easy to twist the nut at the back. Boards rattling require you to every so often check an tighten all the bolts you can. So far the things I dislike are not fast enough for *me*; but it's $100. The tires are probably not replaceable ; due to me treating it like a trick scooter an going thru gravel road and stuff I've already worn thru the tread. The brake pad is enclosed an like the tire; looks unadjustable an unreplaceable. The main 3rd party app everyone suggests never connected after the first time; so I wouldn't lock it. But it's held up well for me doing everything from drop ins an bunny hops, drifts an burnouts on a $160 scooter. And you want the Ladped 80 cause the 80 only gets 12 miles an 60 has less battery.

With the tarriff situation you'll probably end up not wanting to pay it before they release it from customs.

Also double solid tires like this are the worst. They're generally disposable units once the tires are gone.
