If you're serious about gaming, you wouldn't be getting a 2.8lbs 14-inch laptop. When compared to similar laptops (14-in, <3lbs), the GPU performs very well.

GPU is similar spec as a Radeon 780M if anyone is curious. I got a Dell XPS Ultra 7 open box otherwise about the same hardware as this for $570 yesterday to compare. Brand new one was on display for $2099

Bought and returned this laptop when it was $899 brand new. I really wanted to keep this, it's very high spec for the price. However the OLED screen was finicky. The brightness auto adjust and auto focuses especially in night mode. It drove me crazy ultimately decided to return on day 13.

You would because this one has a thunderbolt you can get desktop performance when you want to game at a light laptop when you don't

Isn't the auto adjust for brightness a windows setting... can't you just turn it off?

It's not a windows setting. The night mode is which makes the screen even worst. If you read the reviews it'll note this laptop's screen tendencies. That was the deal breaker if it didn't do that I would keep.
