Not an expert, but clamping voltage for this model is listed as 600V, which means it can let up to 600V through during a power surge. Recommended clamping voltage is 330V. Lower would be even better, but I've never seen one rated lower probably since thats what UL 1449 certification requires. Keep in mind that regular voltage in US outlets is only 110v, and not all devices can automatically handle 220V that several other countries use.As far as other parameters, response time is also important. USA is 120V, I don't believe it has been 110V for a VERY LONG TIME.

I did research about clamping voltage and found only Monoprice Surge Protector lists 330 V clamping voltage such as this one at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...0DER&psc=1 Most of surge protectors hide the clamping voltage. Unfortunately, Monoprice Surge Protector has no USB port.
