Nice deal. My battery is 2 years old and works fine. Does it make sense to buy a back up now? Or will the battery deteriorate by the time I need it which I guess in a couple of years?

I personally have 4 of these (not the HP but they are all 4ah). I have had them all about a year now with normal DIY usage, and no issues.

I try to stock up when they are on sale. If you have kids, you can also use these for converting RideOn toys to lithium with small adapters you can find on ebay or amazon.

Plus with all the tariffs, who knows what prices will be on these in a year or so.

I wait till the open boxes drop in price. If you are good you can get a dual 24+24 blower or chain saw for under $100. So you get two out of warranty batteries and a tool for the price of 1 in warranty battery.

I have 8 pairs so far in 2 years. All are good. I see no point of the high output packs, their biggest motor is the mower, and its only 700 watts 800 watts in turbo. So thats well under even a standard pack.
I will say the 2ah units are junk for anything but hand tools. They overheat and turn off before they ever run out of juice.
