This bike lists a 32mph max speed. Some states (i.e. Michigan) say any 2-wheeled contrivance that can get over 30mph on motor power is a motorcycle that requires license, registration, insurance and a helmet to operate.
California has increased enforcement with San Diego impounding bikes. NYC has a 15mph bike speed limit, and a chicago suburb has made it illegal to operate e-bikes in public streets without a license.
Anyone who would normally be cautious around their local law enforcement should think really hard about this as an "e-dirt bike" may qualify as "reasonable cause". If you don't know why I added that, the comment isn't for you.
