Bad products , read the reviews b4 buying .Most recent purchases indicate that the sardines came all in pieces mushy and not looking good .

I think of these as emergency food supplies. I like keeping inexpensive canned food such as this in my pantry, just in case things get bad enough that I'd need to eat it. It seems like a perfectly adequate way to get protein in a dire situation IMO...

We had the opposite experience. My account showed the 20% coupon applying to both the oil and water versions. But unlike you, my partner's account only has the coupon for the oil. Weird. Seems like a random thing.

My experience has been good. Never had mushy or fully broken sardines. Any breakage was on par with other brands. The sardines in oil are firmer that the ones in water but even the water ones are fine

Chicken of the Sea sardines are often on sale, including the ones in olive oil. We got some a few months ago for about 85ยข each. Just do a Deal Alert on SlickDeals.

Not a fan of skin and bones (especially bones). I know that the bones are small and all that, but I'd much rather eat the skinless & boneless sardines. Unfortunately, they're never this inexpensive.๐Ÿ˜•

FYI This is *bean* oil and not olio/EVOO. If possible, don't bother with sardines packed in low-grade seed oil. Go for the good stuff! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Agree. It's worth it to upgrade to decent sardines in olive oil.

Say the line, Bart!
Bart: These are sprats, not sardines.
Everyone on SlickDeals: Yay!
Not sure how they can legally pull that, but whatever.
If you want real sardines, you're looking at 2-3x as much. If you don't mind sprats, you're still getting a healthy fresh water seafood source with a high amount of protein per serving at a solid price.

spRATS! It doesn't even sound good. Besides, the soybean oil made this a no-go for me.

These aren't sardines, they are Sprats. Smaller, mushy.
