Just add more sand and perlite to regular potting mix. Desert plants just need better drainage.

Decent deal for cactus mix. On sale Costco's potting soil is .22 a QT. This is .34. Add in cost for perlite and it's not too much more.

Agreed. Just need to find horticultural sand. Play sand doesn't work for this.
