if you know these kind of listings on Amazon where the image says one thing, title says another and the description totally different, you should know you are only getting 6 sponges. for those that like waiting in queue to get in touch with Amazon reps, it could be fun.
The image shows a 6 sponge pack, and it says "6 pack" on the top right, so you're getting 6 of these packs.

What did they cost per sponge at Costco? Do you think they shed plastic fibers?
AI: "3M, the maker of Scotch-Brite sponges, explicitly states that their scrubbing fibers use recycled plastic but does not disclose detailed chemical composition publicly. However, they comply with standard regulatory requirements for household cleaning products in the U.S.
" While some user reviews mention chemical odors on opening (explained by moisturizing agents used to maintain softness), 3M asserts these agents are non-toxic and rinse out after first use."

"Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge (green pad) is very abrasive and will scratch delicate surfaces like glassware and corelle, and it can also permanently scratch stainless steel and carbon steel, so it is not recommended for those materials.
On Glassware
The green Heavy Duty Scotch-Brite sponge is designed for tough scrubbing jobs and is too abrasive for glass surfaces. Using it on glassware will likely cause scratches that might not be initially visible but become apparent in direct sunlight. These scratches are hard to remove and can permanently damage the smooth glass surface. For cleaning glassware, it is better to use the Scotch-Brite No Scratch pads (blue or white) or gentler alternatives like melamine foam sponges or super-fine #0000 steel wool, which can safely clean glass without scratching..
S Steel, not recommended on carbon steel either. carbon steel rust?
While stainless steel is harder than glass, the green Heavy Duty Scotch-Brite sponge is actually harder than some stainless steel finishes and will likely leave permanent scratches, dulling polished or mirror finishes. Many users and experts caution against using the green pads on stainless steel cookware or surfaces because it disrupts the finish, leading to visible scratches and diminished appearance.

What can you use these on without scratching? I guess sinks

No coupon for me, but under $10 for 36 of them was good enough. I made the mistake of smelling the one I'd been using and it was funky.

wet it and microwave it

It states that item weighs 1.4 lbs. In description, it states it is 6 packages -- each containing 6 sponges.....and amazon has now raised the price to $28. So, yeah, I added it to my S&S earlier when it was about $8. That is beauty of S&S -- you can just add item to S&S list -- and then see what happens.......
