Many reviews say it is not waterproof.

from the description it appears to have a breathable(absorbing but thin) top and water proof layer underneath that. so comfort and easy to dry, protecting the mattress without being too gross. reasonable concept imo

For that price I'm willing to give it a go and the ratings number and average are impressive. We got dogs haha.

I've got two kids going through potty training. I'd be willing to spend more than this on something that worked well, but nothing I buy seems to work. This is ¼ the cost of the most frequently recommended mattress protector (SafeRest), maybe I'll try layering 4 of these in a row.

It's not fiberglass, but I don't trust items with blatantly photoshopped images like this. It looks to me like it's cheap for a reason.

As a tip, any of these waterproof mattress pads should be air dried after washing. Heat and banging around the dryer can affect some of the waterproof layers, at least in some brands that I found.

never even seen a mattress protector that wasnt zipped an sealed shut and had allergy protection rating. I think this is a giant pee pad.

just get a real mattress protector to seal off the mattress (baby mattresses were waterproof back in the day already tho), then buy an easy to wash absorbable blanket for under the sheets, or just skip the sheets.

Just grabbed a couple king-size, which are also $9.99 right now. Been using similar ones for years. Great for pets' occasional barfs and pees.

I use a waterproof mattress protector. I have several so I can rotate them - have one to slip over mattress while another is being washed and dried.

I wash them in a front-loading washer. If you're going to wash in a top loader, only do delicate so the PU membrane doesn't get damaged by the agitator.

I put them in a dryer for 15 min delicate just to get rid of any excess water. Then, I hang dry.

My waterproof mattress protectors last several years before needing to be replaced.
