Would make a killer OPNSense firewall/router. You could also put Proxmox on it for running VMs and LXCs for various uses. If you just need a good Windows PC that will excel in every-day tasks, schoolwork, and maybe retro gaming, it could be great as well.

I use this device to run my main ProxMox Node. I have the i5-12600H version with 96GB RAM and it handles everything I can throw at it - Windows VM for Blue Iris, Ubuntu VM for torrents, Docker host, a bunch of LXC.

I'm really glad I'm not spending money at the moment while I prep to sell my house and move, but if I were spending money, I'd have a new mini computer for some reason I'm sure I'd come up with.

esxi host with a 2nd, I can deploy the full VCF suite nested and still have room for other stuff.

I had one go out on me and they replaced it without any issue. Not the most convenient process because you have to send the old one back first and then wait, but it only took two weeks.
