Set your rewards to pool vs auto issue, then just buy something and cancel
Not sure about the cancel part you mentioned. I have rewards set to accrue points but with such deals the reward certificate directly gets issued. Points are not accrued.

Yes, they will auto issue, but bank after you buy something with them and then cancel it

My understanding is that if you return something bought using bonus reward certificate, the bonus certificate is not reissued and is lost.
Unless that behavior is different for cancellation ...

I've tested it. Depending on your setting, they either get reissued with a new date or point banked (you don't lose them) if you buy and cancel

Got it and good to know for future.
But, it does mean additional hassle to make use of this deal's $20 bonus if one doesn't have anything to spend in the short period.

This is correct. Lost >$200 of vouchers to this, sucked..

I have had them put the points into my points bank in the past but the last two times they did not return the points and I am currently battling with BB to get my $145 in points back. I would have bought something and kept it if I had known they would be lost. They seem to have changed the rules without notifying the players so to speak.
