The audio on this machine is horrendous. Otherwise, a great machine.

I have the AMD version of this and it's excellent. Very similar to my LG Gram 16" OLED in many ways.

It's true the audio isn't good but my LG Gram also has very poor audio, as well.

i've had enough bad experiences buying refurb directly from acer that i'll never try again.

here is an example: i bought a high end refurb laptop from them and the instant i powered it up there was a tremendous, continued noise coming from the fan blades touching something. this was not a ram failure or some other kind of instability that only shows up under stress; this was clear proof that acer never even turned on this machine before reshipping it. i imagine acer maybe reships returns as they received them and have end customers test their refurb products, which is insane, and only actually does something with the product after repeated returns.

the rest of that PC stood up to stress testing, so i sent a video of the issue and asked acer if they could send a replacement fan my way, but they didn't want to. so i opened up the laptop to investigate and saw that a wire was misrouted and touching the fan blades. it was trivial to fix, so i kept the laptop. but the fact remains that at least some acer refurbs see zero testing before reshipping.
