I rarely bought refurbished laptop but I bought an Acer refurbished recently. I just got it a few days ago and it is impressive for its price. I expected the wrong case scenario such as the need to replace the battery and/or the hard drive. And the batteries for Acer are not as common as HP and Dell. Recently, I replaced the laptop batteries for a Dell Latitude for $30 and HP Pavilion for $25. However, for the Acer battery, you might need to pay much higher price, as high as $100. I have a few more laptops that require batteries replacement in the coming months. So, I need to keep the spending low.

I communicated with Acer in Ebay before the purchase. But they did not answer my question about how they do the certification on refurbished. And they did not put me in the fan's club, unlike with HP.

Now, I have confident to buy refurbished laptop in the future.

This is a Zen 2 processor and the GPU only have two CU.
So it's slower than the i3-1315 on both fronts.
The refurb HP with the Ryzen 56xx is going to be faster and have a better build quality at a similar price point.
