This is normal of most coffee makers. They test the grounds, so sometimes you'll see water or coffee grounds in the machines. Normal.

since shipping estimates are off by 8+ days costco at times initiates a refund but puts the charge back once the order ships. i would not be too concerned, since in past orders have shipped even when the charge gets reverted.

I bought a mattress from Costco online a day after purchasing this Philips. It is not due to be delivered until early October. Today I received a refund chg for the mattress too. So I guess that's good news for this expresso machine.
