I have an a750 and upgraded from that. The drivers are more mature on Arc than they ever have been and every title I played had no issues.

That being said, given US government and NVIDIA buying stakes on intel, I fear their dedicated GPU days may be over (again).

Surprisingly good entry level graphics card BUT would only suggest for someone who is a little more techy. Not as plug and play as AMD and Nvidia. Also really good for transcoding video for people looking to stream or use plex/jellyfin

I don't think that's going to happen any time soon because their focus is IT and server and arc has nothing to do with that side of the business.

Will this card work well in a PC that does not have rebar and only PCIe 3.0?

I think that Moores Law is Dead YouTube channel was able to provide proof that arc is being slowly decommissioned.

Answer: Works, but you really want rebar and newer pcie. If you have an older system, as it appears you do, get a 16GB RX9060XT.

It's a good card for 1080 gaming but not a deal because it's been $250 for weeks.

For a moment thought this is the 24GB card, LOL. If the 24GB is at this price, I'll buy 4 without a blink.

Yes, and Nvidia graphics should be coming to consumer products, if not all of them. Low-end graphics like Alder Lake-N, Wildcat Lake, and desktop CPUs could carry Intel iGPUs forward.

No matter what happens, there will be neglect of drivers and gaming dGPUs. Just look at the thousands of people Intel laid off recently.

Thanks.

Lenovo P520 with Xeon 2223 with 64GB and P2200*. My specific interest is in transcoding performance.

* - picked it up for $175; it replaced a nine year old PC. Obviously I'm not a gamer.

If you just want transcode, get the 380. Is this for Plex?
