If you have a Costco nearby, 32oz pikes place is on sale for the same price.

Checkout Costco if you have membership, same price for pikes peak. Better deal if you like that one.

The coffee sold at Costco and Sam's Club is Nestlé coffee branded as Starbucks, as indicated on the side of the bag's packaging. This may appear to be Starbucks coffee, but the Nestlé affiliation is not always clearly disclosed, and this shows no pictures of the side of the bag.

We're not talking about Costco house blend which use to be Starbucks. They are selling 2 lb bags grounded pikes place.

Next time you go to Costco or Sam's look at the side label, bottom small print. Even the Pikes Place is Nestle coffee. Specifically says they paid to use pike place name. They shouldn't be allowed to do it, but I guess the small print makes it okay and us consumers are "informed." Smh...

So the bags of Starbucks Pike Place aren't Starbucks?

In 2018, Nestlé acquired the perpetual rights to market and distribute Starbucks' consumer packaged goods (like coffee beans and teas) and foodservice products globally, but Starbucks remains a separate, publicly traded company owned by its shareholders. This deal was a licensing agreement, not an acquisition of the entire company, and Starbucks still operates its coffee shops and sells products within them

Nestle doesn't source, buy, roast, or package Starbucks branded coffee in grocery (or any location). Nestle paid for the rights to distribute the coffee to grocery retailers so that Starbucks doesn't have to. Nestle gets their name on the package because they distribute and sell it.

I'm seeing... Starbucks provides the beans and roasting specifications to Nestlé, who then handles the actual roasting and packaging to meet those standards.Regardless I stopped buying it. I feel like I'm paying a premium on an inferior product. I always thought it didn't quite taste like a bag I bought from a Starbucks store.
