In the listing the Overview section mentions SD card reader, but there is no card reader listed in the Specs section. Photos do not show enough detail to tell. It is in stock at my local Micro Center but not on display. Does anyone seen this PC in person?

I've been tracking this one for a few weeks, and almost went for it at the $999 price that it usually goes for at Microcenter. It feels reasonably premium, but definitely is lacking in I/O and gaming performance, at least compared to my LG Gram 17 it might be replacing. It's one of the lightest 18" laptops you can get right now, tied with the Asus TUF Gaming A18, both of which are 5.73 lbs. The TUF Gaming of course has a dedicated GPU (5050), so much more performant than the Vivobook, but I'm still on the fence if that GPU is worth the $600 price difference, since all other specs are essentially the same.
Luckily Microcenter has a 15-day return policy and no restocking fee as far as I can tell, so I figured, at this price, why not give it a shot 😅

One more thing i'll add is that even though its advertised as having 32GB max ram, there's nothing stopping you from dropping in a 32gb stick (which was $89 at the time of this comment), so i now have 48gb of ram in this machine for less than the cost of the off-the-shelf 32gb version of this laptop (which is $1099 on most sites at the moment)

To add to this, the laptop has 16GB onboard (soldered) and one empty DDR5 SODIMM slot. I'd prefer 2 SODIMM slots but 32GB dual channel (16+16) is still acceptable. Most laptop manufacturers except Dell and HP have gone single channel soldered (if not all soldered) for most of their non-gaming laptops. I actually prefer Acer/Asus/Lenovo but they keep soldering 8GB onboard so you can't get full dual channel if you need more than 16GB (my current Lenovo has 4GB onboard + 32GB SODIMM).

Here is Asus's product page: https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/f...-18-m1807/
Note that all 4 USB ports (2 A, 2 C) are 5Gbps only, no 10Gbps (popular with external SSD) or 40Gbps (USB 4 / Thunderbolt 4) which is disappointing.
Battery is 70Wh 4-cell, bigger than the usual 50-ish Wh, 3-cell. AC adapter is 65W USB-C.
