IMO this looks a little janky and hard to load and no knurling, WTH? I've had a few differ ones, the best I've found can stand upright and allow easy load/unload. also, this has lots of bolts for something made to bounce off the ground.

This was my third and final try, love it. Goes on sale for $70 often, $88 still good price.

Seems like a good deal. Need to point out, the handles have no knurling.

Got the one Walmart has that has come up several times on here. The hex cage is open on one side and weight balanced nicely. Has rubber feet stands making it so easy to load plates. It's also super long and sits perfectly on my rack. It was only 65 or 70 bucks and was a steal given how sturdy it is and how often I use it over other things like my regular Olympic bar for deadlifts etc.

Thanks, I was just looking at this the other day and it was like 106 or something. I bought 2 sets of the 35 lb plate pairs that went on sale the other day and have been looking for a good trap bar. I like the open side for doing lunges.

There is no way in hell I would buy that piece of junk, it is literally bolted together. Hence, the 500 lb rating.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank beowulf7

It's only 28 lbs. Not the typical 45 or 55 lbs.

For anyone named "The Rock", Awwnold, Hulk, Hercules, Clark, Brutus, Popeye, probably won't buy this, or in the very least just make fun of this…

For the average Joe Schmo with a home gym who probably won't be putting more than 100 to 200 lbs max… this is more than an awesome deal

Fit vids stuff offer value for those that can't afford stuff from Rogue Fitness, Titan, Fringe Sports, Rep, etc etc

Not everyone drops their weights 2'+ off the ground after finishing reps…

Seriously… this is a great deal… I use something similar from CAP that has held up very well. I use it for legs, shoulders, back, etc… But I also have never put more than 100 lbs on it and don't abuse it…

I'm 54 yrs old, 170 lbs. I have a Major Fitness PLM03 Power Rack. Bought weights from BalanceFrom, CAP and Signature Fitness on Amazon and Walmart. Multiple different attachments for the Rack from white label companies like Yes4All. Saved me thousands of $$$. All have held up well.

If you're lifting more than 500 lbs on a trap bar… then you're probably buying a more reputable brand and probably shouldn't be trolling this thread.

I also have gym quality stuff like the Concept2 Rower, SkiErg, BikeErg, and Precor Elliptical in my home gym.

This is a junk deal. For $30 more you can get something substantially better (like more than twice as good) on walmart's website. And any used bar that's been beaten to hell off facebook marketplace would be better than this.

Yeah this looks like an erector set piece of junk. The last thing you want in a piece of equipment like this are bolts that can slowly back themselves out and contribute to play. The lack of knurling is further evidence that the people who made this had no idea what they were doing.

I think some strategically placed grip tape and lock tite could take this into the useable realm. I bought the Balancefrom one mulligan linked and I like it fine. The knurling is light but at least there is some on it and I like the built in stand just rock it on its side and load and rock it back down to use.

The sheer strength of steel bolts are pretty high. Why would having bolts be an issue? My rack, my leg press, my exercise bike, my smith machine, my universal machine, my treadmill all are bolted together or have bolts in them and I haven't died yet! Could always tack weld the bolts to the nuts if your that worried about them!
