Tempting. Spend a little more for a PC laptop or this ? Thoughts if anybody else had this dilemma

Not sure if they are coming back in stock but the Duet 5 from the Lenovo outlet is a lot better deal.

A normal laptop is way more versatile than this at similar price, unless all you want to do is browse the web with Chrome.

I would rather get an 8GB Lenovo Duet than an ultra-cheap PC. Depends on what software you need to run, though.

Huh? You can do plenty more than that in Chrome OS, and you can also run Linux programs as well. It IS a laptop.

A couple things I'll add from my experience:
- 8gb is great for most browsing/media consuming. I found the 4gb to get sluggish if I had more than a few tabs open + playing spotify
- I actually found the 13" to feel too big for the tablet mode of this, ie just basic tablet browsing on couch or bed. granted 13" is better for the real "laptop" feel, but I use this as a secondary computer/tablet to just grab for browsing, cooking, watching. 11" is better for that IMO.
- I really like this form factor for letting my young kids do get computer time. they get familiar with the keyboard, can use it like a tablet, and I don't have to panic about them breaking something. I view this as a huge upgrade from something like a fire tablet and a much better value than and iPad (I know that would be debated by many).

Anyways, at $280 for this thing, I think it's a great value
