This is the one that is/was plagued with buggy firmware, high cpu and intermittent connection problems. Its a pity since the hardware specs look great. Maybe everything will be fixed in a future firmware update? I'd avoid for now

Supposedly some have said the latest firmware fixed some issues [snbforums.com] and also has merlin support [asuswrt-merlin.net]

If you intend to extend this in the future, you are better served with a UniFi AP based setup. I tried both the Asus XT8 and ET8 and both were plagued by overall dropouts, random device connectivity issues, and one firmware update would fix it and the next would bring back some new flavor of issue.

I paid $400+ for 2 packs of the XT/ET8, in comparison a UniFi setup of cloud gateway ultra + 2x U7 lites is $329 and will be more stable (I got the U7 Pros which are more expensive but honestly should have gone with the lites)
