I bought one of these, and I like it. Of course the speed is dependent on your hardware. If your pulling off a spinning hard drive or using the 5gbps USB port it won't operate at full speed. Using a USB A to USB C adapter and a USB 4 port writing to a gen 4 nvme I think I was getting around 700MBps. Around 350MBps on the 5Gbps ports.

The USB A on the T31 is non retractable. I put the cap away because I don't intend to keep up with it. There is a white activity light that stays on. It's a little bulky. I'm happy with it.
