That's fortunate. I have personally had problems (as mentioned--activates but then randomly stops working down the line). My understanding is that they often obtain a license via a bulk "volume licensing plan" for some huge corporation or other back, non-consumer channels. Then they sell the key to multiple customers. If the key gets activated too many times, then MS blacklists it. So it's kind of a gamble with what the other people are doing that also got the same key. I don't have experience with this specific merchant, but... seems to be the general pattern.

I've never had any problem with any serial number I've got from any of these deals. I've been on this forum for a long time.

Do a lot of folks stay on 10 and not do 11? What are the main reasons why? I hadn't heard about this position

Microsoft is offering free Extended Security Updates (ESU) for Windows 10 to consumers until October 13, 2026.
You need to be signed in with a Microsoft account and enable Windows Backup to sync your settings to the cloud via OneDrive.
