How bad can they be? The batteries themselves are probably worth the price. Ordered one of each, let's see how they fare. Thanks OP.

I'm interested in the prospect of a cordless paint sprayer, but how much paint should I expect one 4AH battery to get me? It's not like I'm deeply invested in... workpro branded batteries/ecosystem, so this is a bit of a hard sell for me vs just dealing with a cord. Anyone have useful experience on this? At this price, I'd be tempted to give it a try if I had a more immediate painting project at hand.

Can you imagine now nice it would be if the peoples of the world got together and made it so there were just 2 or 3 battery standards for power tools?
Kinda like how they universalized cell phone chargers?

I was just thinking the other day of going to Verizon many years ago, and the desks had this huge bundle of dongles to fit each phone

One can only dream. Problem is, by allowing this then the tool manufacturers can no longer grab the customers by the balls and force them to continue in the ecosystem. And for the purpose of having full control of your balls, they can't allow that.

It does bum me out a bit tho when it's the same parent company. My Black and Decker and Porter Cable is nearly identical, they just added a little extra plastic to make it incompatible. I had to hack away to make it fit. But hey, there are also adapters

You might want to get the heat gun also which has so many uses like removing stickers, thawing locks, heat shrinking etc. Then to have a backup battery incase you run short.

I question how useful a battery powered heat gun could possibly be. On mains power, they suck juice like mad (obviously)!

Using the provided info from the listing, Chatgpt calculates this: So a reasonable real-world expectation is ≈ 48–57 minutes and ≈ 11.4–13.6 US gallons, depending on losses.

Heads up first time through I selected to deliver both in one shipment and it then told me the heat gun was OOS, I tried again leaving it as deliver in two separate shipments and the order went through.
