Hmmm... Got this book the last time.

It's surprisingly hard to read. I wouldn't call it boring, but I'm struggling with it... Haven't gotten far. I wouldn't say that "the writing is bad" but I want to. I hope it gets better later.

It's a slow starter, I felt the same way. I finished it a couple months ago. It gets a lot better in my opinion. I just finished the second book a few days ago and that one took even longer before anything started happening lol.

Great deal here but, always remember that ebooks are often free with Libby. My library currently has a waitlist for this ebook but YMMV.

My grade school library had this and Andromeda Strain. I couldn't get into the latter, but I don't remember having any issues reading Jurassic Park. When Lost World came out after the movie, that book was everywhere.

Absolutely stellar book completely butchered by the movie. If you've seen the movie and didn't read the book yet, do yourself a favor and read this instead.

One of my favorites movies growing up. Sad to say I've never read the book. Just curious on your take where the movie went wrong?

In the book the mobile base camp tank was such a critical component of the story largely replaced by a motorhome in film. They eliminated the chameleon dinosaurs entirely and the ending in the movie is not how the book ends.
