At Costco? I believe that was 98" TCL QM6K Pro you're referring to.

Don't get U6. Weird lighting on the edges. Glitchy software.

Reddit [reddit.com] says this TV was $1450 a couple of months ago, and the TCL 98QM6k Pro was $1799 at that time. I was at my local warehouse over the weekend, and they had this TV priced at $2199.99 while the 98QM6k Pro was $1599.99. One thing I didn't realize until I saw this thread is that this Hisense is a Fire TV rather than a Google TV (like the 100U70N that they used to carry, and the TCL 98QM6k Pro) which I prefer. If I was in the market to buy one today, I'd go with the TCL.

I compared this in person with the QM6k pro at Costco when it was 1800 (I think) and the TCL was 1600 over Labor Day. Both were in complete non-realistic demo mode so PQ on both seemed fine, but hard to say for sure. Biggest difference I noticed was the TCL had a glassy finish that gave awful reflections and this was more of a matte. Decided against either due mostly to marriage preservation. Seems TV prices are down relatively speaking so I'll be lurking around waiting for an offer I can't refuse…

has anyone done mounting from costco before? I have an old mount on there but will need a new one as my old one was rated for up to 85 inches

This beats the Best Buy deal which only includes basic mounting. The 5 Year warranty there adds $449.99, plus you get the Amazon digital credit at Costco. I am signing up for a Costco membership for this through the Groupon which gives you a 100 off 200 Costco coupon.
