If you look at the review pictures it has no safety listings of any kind, US recognized or otherwise. That's a major red flag and a serious safety issue. Likely unauthorized use of the Sharp brand. Buyer Beware.

Also this appears to be a knock-off Sharp brand. Yeah, this is why I stay away from Woot junk. It's always stuff the Amazon could not sell.

it may be a knock-off or it could actually be "genuine" Sharp.

It just might not be the Sharp we once knew. I've seen it many times where older brands sell their trademarks to Chinese companies or they get acquired in margers and sold off etc.

I used to be heavy into car audio, so I've seen great brands get watered down into cheap chinese products once the company gets acquired.
