Don't update the software. I did several months ago and the signature change with less bass. There is no way to downgrade the firmware. I did contact the company, but no response.

This is the normal sale price at Costco. It's been at $149.99 with a $50 instant savings for several times within the past year. Normal price is $199.99.

I bought this ($199) last month while my Sony xm4 was being repaired by Sony service center.

I'm not a audio critic but mostly use the headphones during my morning run (outside or on the treadmill). In terms of build quality, the PX7 runs circles around the Sony which is primarily all plastic.

For audio, I'd like to think that the px7 has deeper bass. I listen to a lot of heavy metal songs (especially Gojira and Raamstein) and the deep bass is really evident on the PX7. But overall sound quality, I think its pretty close but Px7 wins slightly due to better build.

But the better build quality on the px7 also makes it heavier so I wouldn't really recommend it for running or gym ...I had a hard time keeping the headphones on during my runs due to the heavier weight.

Sony ended up replacing my phones and sent me a brand new sealed XM4 so I ended up returning the Px7 back to Costco but for $150, I would say jump on it (albeit the heaviness on the build).

I've had mine since they were released 2+ years ago. Still going strong for me, although I've heard the leather degrades badly on some units. I also should note that some reviewers say the latest update is actually a downgrade for sound quality, so I've refrained from updating it.

By upgrade, do you mean the firmware or the Px7 S2e?

Bought these earlier this year for the same price and I'm very satisfied with them. Granted I haven't owned any other ANC headphones so I don't have anything to compare it to (I've tested the WM3 and Bose QC35 previously) but these are very comfortable and would definitely recommend them at this price.

Are the mics good to use them at the office for online calls?

Got this from Costco like few months back . Pretty solid sound and bass and connectivity. Only draw backs are it's heavier and the app isn't as good as Sonys. Other than these I really like mine

I bought these the last time Costco had them on sale for $150. They have been incredible for me. I use them for meetings, youtube, podcasts, and music all through the PC via Bluetooth.
They sound fine to me, but I'm not picky. The fit of them really stands out though - they fit comfortably on my head and over my ears great! I had tried Sennheiser HD 450BT headphones and they are okay, but the headband was too tight and the ear cuffs are too small.
One big feature for me is that they can be charged while you're using them! I use magnetic charging adapters and they work great with that.
One thing that stood out to me was that they auto power down after a bit of time, which is a problem on PC (for me), and I had to put an app on my phone to make any changes to the settings (downside)
