I have this and it doesn't leak. I neither remove the battery nor the oil and it's fine.

The self oiling feature is not that big a deal, they usually end up leaking and make a bigger mess. With these saws being so small, how much cutting could you really do? The other one gives you a small squeeze bottle for oiling and a brush. I just manually lubricate the chain. Easy. And it has the second battery which, in my opinion, makes it the better deal.

I used it today, it was great. good battery life, cuts well, felt safe. Very good 20 bucks.....

Thank you. Ordered for yardwork during 3-day weekend coming up. Got several small trees and shrubs to remove or clean up before they become problematic. Landscapers wanted $400 for the work; neighbors said their much cheaper landscapers no longer available in our area due to the orange man.

Probably a different promotion, TIETOC8899 still takes off $18 for me. If you're using the Amazon app you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code.

There's specific oil called chain oil that you need to run out and buy

Any oil will work for chain oil. Not sure... does oiler require you to manually push on the oil cap to oil chain?

Yup...looks like deal is dead. Getting $7.20 discount with the code, which is nice and all, but I'll be skipping it. Already have a Dewalt electric chainsaw. This would have been a nice, more portable option, but will be OK without it. Grats to those who snagged one!
