Really excellent for the money. I regularly fly a drone and cam that costs 10s of thousands for work - and the capabilities of this little drone always blows my mind for the $.

i've never owned a serious drone before. how well does the mini 4k do in lightly windy conditions? the toy drone i got can't even stay still on a light breeze.

Handles light to moderate very well but definitely affects battery life. Adding anything to it like aftermarket rotor guards will make it much more affected by wind.

Rock solid up to 27mph, they say 35 but you'll notice buffeting around 28

This is the perfect entry drone to jump from toy to hobby. DJI is the real deal and the only regret you'll have here is that you need more batteries.

Buying this you still don't have a serious drone but at least it'll have a stable gimbal and support.
This is a good price to see if you'll actually use the thing. Be sure to download B4UFLY before you order it to help with knowing if you can fly near you, some people end up screwed because it's a No Fly Zone all around their home.

If you want some amateur footage, here's my Mini 2, not this Mini 1, in Scotland, I didn't realize I had changed the contrast, it wasn't on automatic, so the white point was out of whack, so I adjusted the color on CapCut. Edited the wireless video on my phone and uploaded it with my Mint plan on our way to Loch Ness: https://youtu.be/wK_7bi2dV_s
Campground shots in the mountains. There's one where I momentarily lost my connection due to no line of sight with the drone up at Pipestone: https://youtu.be/A2Rm51AkfN0
All these videos are files from my phone, NOT from the SD card. I'm still happy with them.

DJI Mini 2 vs DJI Mini 4K, Google AI:
"The DJI Mini 4K is functionally identical to the original DJI Mini 2 but is based on the DJI Mini 2 SE body, lacking the front LED indicator found on the Mini 2. The main differences are the Mini 4K's higher video bit rate (100 Mbps vs. 40 Mbps), which supports the better 4K resolution, and a slightly different color profile in its footage. The Mini 4K is a rebranded version of the original Mini 2, offering a lower-cost entry into DJI's 4K video capabilities for beginners."
