Really excellent for the money. I regularly fly a drone and cam that costs 10s of thousands for work - and the capabilities of this little drone always blows my mind for the $.

Assuming you are in the USA then you must legally always maintain line of sight. If you want an upgrade over this look for a Mini 3 Pro.

This Mini 4K UHD does not. The Pro version does, and it does it omnidirectional.

i've never owned a serious drone before. how well does the mini 4k do in lightly windy conditions? the toy drone i got can't even stay still on a light breeze.
Buying this you still don't have a serious drone but at least it'll have a stable gimbal and support.

This is a good price to see if you'll actually use the thing. Be sure to download B4UFLY before you order it to help with knowing if you can fly near you, some people end up screwed because it's a No Fly Zone all around their home.
What's is the cheapest "serious" drone?

If going DJI current models, the Air 3s. It has a 1" CMOS sensor 150 Mbps bitrate and supports 10-bit D-Log.
Mini Pro 5 (not released in US yet) will also have a 1" sensor which appears to have the same exact specs. So you'll probably pay $1-200 less but lose the telephoto lens, some flight time, and speed - but have a drone under 250 grams.
The Air 2s is a great alternative if you can find one used/open-box. That would be the cheapest option for a serious drone.
Anything else with a sensor smaller than 1" is not a 'serious' drone, unless you're buy an FPV drone which has a different intended purpose.

Added it to my cart last night and fell asleep before I could check out. Story of my life! Hopefully a better deal pops up.

I was on the fence, but it looks like the price went back up to $299. Guess I'll wait and see if it comes back...

I will say, if you got extra $190, get the $439 DJI Flip, way better image quality.

same here. two dji drones 0 use in 8 yrs now.too many restrictions and hoops (safety related) to jump through. drones are being used more and more in military, so there are naturally more restrictions as well. wasn't like this 10 yrs ago but drones were also 5x the price lol

Ummmm, you're being sold a China registered product. And support won't support it.....
This purchase and company is just shady.. Support would not confirm were they were located too- just weird.
