Doesn't look like it is actually for the Bravia 8 but is for Sony BRAVIA XR A80K per the model in the description which is the 2022 model.

just 2 cents from my side as my luck and experience with Sony support was terrible as they denied warranty on my 2.5 yrs old 86" tv which had 5yrs warranty through costco saying defects are within limit even though the problem was with their tv . They only asked to repair out of pocket. this deal may be good but its good if you have all state insurance to back you up..

I believe it's the same model as posted many times before too, which made it to FP. This is by far the lowest price for it:

They have that one here for 879 after coupon: https://ebay.us/m/AHqewpThis one is the a80k which is the 2022 model. Funny enough it gets better RTINGS but not sure how much that varies over time.

What do they mean by "defects are within limits"? I had the 5 year warranty through Costco too and Sony replaced my 4 1/2 year old 65" TV for free two weeks ago.

Well for the K65XR80 which is the 2024 model, that would be a decent deal, but in the model for that ebay listing you posted, it says it's for the Sony BRAVIA XR A80K XR-65A80K which is the 2022 model.
