+ very low price
+ windows 11 compatible (if that matters to you)
+ low power consumption for a desktop
+ allows you to choose the chassis and power supply if you want to add more internal devices than a mini PC
cons:
- very slow chip on par with Intel 8500 or AMD 3600
- no PCIe 4.0 support
- would bottleneck games or serious work based on older architecture and low core count
- no AI in chip, which may limit future compatibility
- larger and slower than a mini PC running Ryzen 7 5825U for the same price (after case, ram and power supply)

your points are generally valid as a note for people, but i dont think the people who would be looking to buy this are the same customers who are in need of a workstation, or AI system.
i want to toss back to you, that it performs just a little worse overall compared to a 5600 (in gaming), it wont bottleneck most pcie 4.0 GPUs, (3.0 is still fine for most and if you have the money for a 5090, why are you buying this combo?). if you want serious work, this isnt the combo for you, this is a budget build that performs very nice for the cost as an upgrade path for older systems. no AI. again, your want to spend much more for a system if thats your goal. while it will lack against such a mini pc with internal GPU as this doesnt have one, for ~$100 more a used dedicated GPU will surpass a budget mini pc IGPU performance if you have an existing GPU you can drop in that is better than 10** series you will probably do better here. your points are generally valid as a note for people, but i dont think the people who would be looking to buy this are the same customers who are in need of a workstation, or AI system.
You make several valid points. Everybody's use case for a new PC will be different but in my case this just doesn't offer enough power for what I need. I happen to already have a ryzen 5 3600 with an RTX 3070 which is roughly equivalent to this processor and motherboard combination, so for me it wouldn't be an upgrade at all. however, if someone is rocking a 8 to 10-year old computer or just needs a very cheap additional computer, it could be a great deal.
However, like you said this is a great starter PC (if anything, great 'throwaway' build as in, if you break it while installing it's not "that" huge of a loss lol)
