Me! Got one from Ebay, and it was the Costco version with the extra attachment. It came like it was brand new...in fact I'm not sure it wasn't new and just never sold. Very impressed.
Now, will that be everyone's experience? Not sure.

Wife has had one of these for about 5 years with multiple weekly usages. Only issue was when she layed it down to dry some kids artwork and it blew a thermo cutoff fuse. With youtube and novice soldering skills i was able to replace it and it's been going for another 2 years no problem now. May get one for the teenager now.
I have. Most of them are good. I had one item that malfunctioned and they promptly took it and fixed/returned it back to me in good working order. It was fairly seamless.
I got a refurb V15 from Woot and it has been great. I know this isn't Woot but it was refurbished. I think refurbished don't have any higher if a failure rate than brand new, but that's based upon comments on here and my small personal experience.
I ordered one 2 years ago off a Woot deal and it hasn't broken yet.
I did stay at a hotel (US-based, so still 120v) which had what appeared to be the same generation of Dyson hairdryer and I felt like theirs got hotter on the hottest setting than mine does. Though since they probably make a good number specifically for hotels, it's possible they use a better spec for those to try to get people to buy one for home use.
