This would qualify as it meets the 3kwh minimum capacity for the credit

I believe they need to be installed into your home power box for the tax credit. Cant just buy it and leave it in your garage.

A switch box is only hundreds. My question is, can it be connected to an outlet box and run that way? Technically, it's "connect or mount" to the house because you need to use the switch on the breaker box(the panel). I'm sure EcoFlow has a function to switch to AC if solar power can't provide enough energy.

Not a tax person, but yes from everything I can figure out. People keep throwing this term "installed" around. If it's in your home and ready to use, how is it not installed?

Look at how much fraud there was with PPP loans. Just literal theft. There's almost no audit with those. The fact that you actually have a receipt you'll be fine with this.

Also, if you spend $1500, you qualify for free 220W solar panel.

Yeah, right now I'm thinking about buying 3 and getting the 400w panel free.

Ended up with 2 pros, a 500w panel and 400w panel for $3100.

You just have to be smart enough to not say they are grid connected and simply off-grid installed. After that a physical audit you could just install upon any inquiry worst case or technically you could say it was installed but later malfunctioned and removed depending on the audit date (how would they prove you lied). I opted for a small 'off-grid' system but ended up buying 6xpanels with max output capacity around 2200W total so a second pro unit i could actually just tie into the panel output but then figuring out how to split two separate circuits or join the 2 AC outputs is more of a hassle and sort of defeating the basic low cost/small footprint with return (which will be less than 5 years based on what will be powered, etc.). Plus if I end up having to move i can easily take this stuff with me…because it malfunctioned and needed removal.
