Normally I'd agree, but generic is $0.71/each at Kroger and $0.45/each at Walmart. This comes out to $0.38/each.

at least 12-18 months, should last you for two cold seasons. OTC Meds like this are still safe to take and work just fine a few months after expiration in my own personal experience.

Guaifenisin does not work. If it does work you're getting the placebo effect. Save your money. Google it Wink

So, if it does work, it doesn't really work? Got it.

I Googled as you suggested, and the best I could come up with is "it may not work for everyone,"

To me, that means, it may work, it may not work. But it has nothing to do with placebo effect.

Pepper Spray works on some people and doesn't work on other people. It doesn't have anything to do with placebo effect, but rather how it interacts with your body. Same as this and many other medicines.

Typically yes, some drugs work for some ppl and not for other. But in guaifenesin's case, a very large study concluded that there's practically no difference in response between it and placebo group. So more likely it does almost nothing to vast majority of people.
