Love mine- great for the car or small clean up jobs around the house. Power is good but realize it does not hold a lot.

did you run into issue of turning off if kept in one place? couple reviewers mention that.

If my Milwaukee vac is any indication, the included 2Ah battery will not last very long.

Works just fine, can't beat the compact balance.
This thing has 60" water lift power, which is higher than my M12 Fuel Vacuum at 42"
Less CFM but a lot more compact.

Overall I think the M12 is what i grab, but at $59 with a battery and compact footprint, that can't be beat to put on your car.

I suspect so, based on a response from Skil to a review on Lowe's of another Skil 12V/20V product (the 1/4" flip drill also going for $60). The review is titled "Great Design, But Missing Hp". The Skil CS rep suggested that if they want more power, they should use a 20V battery.

I wish this thing was wet/dry, I already have a fair amount of skil stuff, but without that, I might as well throw my little shop vac on an inverter. Portability is awesome but being able to handle wet stuff would be awesome. Nice price.

I just got mine yesterday, and I couldn't duplicate that problem with or without attachments when tested on a sofa cushion or on a cotton placemat on top of a wooden table or when directly placed on the palm of my hand, all when on High power. However, those reviews may still be correct if they had used a 20V battery. My first and only test was to pick up very tiny electronic screws, and it failed. For comparison I did the same test using the separable top of a Ryobi 18V stick vacuum and that did pick up those screws. The Skil *does* pick up normal debris and sand.Having said all that, I'm glad I bought it because of its compact size and light weight.

I've used this, it's perfect to keep in the car for touch ups due to its size. The battery doesn't last very long but if you're just picking up crumbs and some dust off the seats and carpets after getting off work on your way to a date without having to use a car wash vacuum this is great. Also good for the forbidden floorboard snacks that the kids drop in the back seat.
