This is a bad deal this model is ancient they are on the v15 now and the power and battery life on this product are very outdated

it's good if you want something that is light, the newer models are much more heavy

Dyson v8 is 5.6 pounds the rest are around 6.5 pounds. I am sure that someone rather have the v11 for similar price with twice the power and 50 more battery life for a pound more. The v15 weighs the same as this model.

Depending on your application, the V8s are the best. As some have mentioned, the batteries are trash and on "boost" basically depletes itself in minutes. That's fine as you can go on Amazon or Ebay and buy bolt on battery adapters that let you use power tool batteries of whatever brand you use. I have several V8s for my businesses, and they've all been converted to use Makita 18V batteries. They last longer, run better, and when they run out we just swap the batteries on the fly. The power demands jump after the V8 series, so i'm guessing thats why the adapters are almost non-existent after.

I have the V8 Animal+ & the V15 Detect. My mother has the V11. I absolutely love my V8. Yes, the battery died years ago, but I ended up buying a battery adapter for it that allows me to use my Ryobi batteries (from Amazon). I've been using it like this for years. My V15 Detect is also great but for different reasons (the "Detect" feature and larger dust bin to be exact). The V15 is heavier than the V8 (with the Dyson battery) but it's worth it for the larger bin. In my opinion tho, the suction of my V8 Animal+ is much stronger than my V15 Detect. I also had an issue with my V15 where it would come on and go off back to back like it was pulsing but that's been fixed. I've never had one issue (other than dead battery) with my V8 Animal+.
