The Infuser is a pretty old model, 10+ years old. I guess it's tried and tested.

The Bambino has modern technology like the ThermoJet heating that's suppose to be ready in 3 seconds(instead of several minutes) after turning on. Smaller and more compact as well. The Bambino Plus model has a 3 way solenoid valve and a auto-frothing feature for making milk drinks.

I can't get over the lack of a pressure gauge on the bambino plus. For people starting out, pressure is much easier to understand for dialing in espresso than timing and weighing shots. The infuser also has a 3-way solenoid valve.

This is a great home espresso machine. I've had mine for 6 years and it hasn't missed a beat. Not too fancy but it's got the important features: good temperature control, 3-way solenoid valve (much less mess), and volumetric sizing of shots rather than a basic timer. The warmup time is perfectly acceptable, and for the best shot you'll want to give any machine extra time to warm up the brew head and portafilter anyway.

Pair it up with a Smart Grinder Pro and you're good to go.
