Just returned this yesterday. Didn't connect consistently. Only way to force it to reset is to cycle the engine on and off. Not ideal.

couldn't you unplug and replug it from the USB socket?

I just got this a few days ago. It has worked every time but once. I just unplugged and reconnected and it worked.
I paid $15. Tempted to return and rebuy.
