I always buy CPU, motherboard and RAM in that order. Makes it easier starting at a certain target CPU that you want, then you can search and sort motherboards by CPU socket. Once you got your motherboard and CPU, then you can look at compatible RAM for your motherboard. Just something to think about the next time around.

The Ryzen 7600x performs as well as the 5800x3d in gaming. Thats one of the cheapest AM5 CPUs vs one of the most expensive AM4s.

I would return the Am4 parts, if possible.

I just recently had the pleasure of replacing this board after only 3 years. All the ram slots crapped out. Before i figured that out, i replaced the gpu and then my ram. Then it just stopped posting one day. After replacing it with a B850, it worked on first boot. Definitely would not recommend this board.

Roommate has had the same board for a couple-few years. It has been a source of *unique* frustration, more times than I can count. (2nd) Latest BIOS damaged or degraded something too. Previously stable settings are no longer stable, even after rollback.

Don't even get me started on their GPU and PSU shenanigans...

"Friends don't let friends buy Gigabyte".

Great price! I have the V2 of this board and I'm very pleased with the stability. I don't think V1.0 is much different. It is paired with Ryzen 8700G and replaced Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX with Ryzen 5700G. The swap was seamless and I didn't have to reinstall Win 11. It picked up the changes and booted just fine. After that I installed the latest drivers.

Phenomenal deal, but there are some complaints of the BIOS freezing from users on Newegg, but at this price with these features and VRM, it might be worth the risk.

I got two Gigabyte B650 motherboards recently (this one and the eagle one) and the motherboard does not turn on after a shutdown. I have to CMOS reset. I hate Gigabyte motherboards

You can purchase a 5700X CPU on Aliexpress for less than $100 if you watch for sales which are fairly frequent. DDR4 32GB RAM can often be found cheap on facebook marketplace if you don't mind the effort. I just built a system with 5700X, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD for $300. I already had the case and power supply.

If you have a Microcenter nearby I would recommend checking their open box section. I grabbed a Gigabyte X670E Aorus Pro X for only $35 last week. It literally looked brand new. The only reason I was able to find out it was used was because one of the M.2 heatsinks had the protective cover peeled off the thermal pad. I live 2 hours away though, so I was scared to only buy that board. I ended up getting the 9950X3D Asus Strix board combo incase the Gigabyte board didn't work. Since it did now I have the Asus board to sell.
